Hi! I am Samantha, the personality behind @PHLfoodstagram! I've had a love for food all my life and started my Instagram account seven years ago.
Originally focused on highlighting Philadelphia bars + restaurants I've grown my following and cover hospitality brands across the US. I love exploring different places located within Philadelphia and recently was able to check out and discover some amazing spots in Fitler Square.
Cotoletta
I love a small family owned business. I am a big fan of their milan salad: iceberg lettuce, chopped tomatoes, bacon, chopped eggs, shrimp and their house dressing - you have to try! Cotoletta is also known for their “stack”, of layered eggplant or chicken parm- you can’t go wrong here!
Rowhome Coffee
Rowhome is the home of the Philadelphia breakfast sandwiches served on soft pretzels! Their sandwiches are so unique and creative, they come in a variety of combinations, a few consisting of: bacon egg and cheese, fish, cream cheese, cheesesteak and deli pretzel sandwiches! I am also a big fan of their specialty coffees and lattes with nugget ice!
Ambrosia
Ambrosia’s homemade pastas and Italian dishes are beyond delicious. Don’t leave the restaurant without trying their crispy Brussel sprouts that are made with labneh, pomegranate seeds and date syrup!

Trattoria Carina
Looking for the perfect casual Italian restaurant? Be sure to try Trattoria Carina! Their menu changes seasonally, so there is always something new to try! I love that they give you the option to BYO or try their cocktails, beer and Italian wines! A little hack of mine.. order a pasta dish and add burrata on top- you won’t regret it!
Ant’s Pants Cafe
I recently tried Ant’s Pants Cafe for the first time and now crave it on a daily basis! They offer a variety of fun menu items such as their bacon, egg and cheese stuffed French toast! I also love their fresh juices- they offer weekly specials!
