Considering the sinkhole that has impeded access to the Schuylkill River Trail for months, the CSX trains blocking the Locust street passage is a real access impediment. If only the city and CSX could agree to a memorandum of understanding to at least not block passage during rush hour.

Get the required safety checks, which seem arbitrary and not needed, changed for these simple and regular stops.

Look, I don't really mind that the crossings are closed sometimes, but there has to be a way to know ahead-of-time so I don't get stuck with a train in the way. There should be a webcam on each crossing, maybe, or a map that shows which crossings are clear in real time. I'm sure the camera feeds and data are available in some internal system already.

I live in Locust Point and have seen people--mostly young men--climb the fence and climb over the trains while "parked." So dangerous and an accident waiting to happen. CSX uses the tracks as a train yard/parking lot.

I've found the crossing to be closed less often recently than in the past. It doesn't really matter though; that's why they built that bridge a block north.
